Meet Nick Stevens, CFP®
I’m Nick Stevens, the founder and sole advisor at Evergreen Wealth Management — a fee-only, fiduciary registered investment advisor (RIA) based in Boston, MA, serving clients nationally.
Over 20 years as a financial advisor — 12 of them at Fidelity Investments — I sat across from thousands of investors. Every conversation was different, but the patterns were clear: people wanted honest financial guidance from someone who wasn’t angling for a bigger fee.
That clarity is what pulled me to build Evergreen. Not frustration with the industry, but a conviction that I could serve clients better on my own terms. I’d seen what works when it comes to building and preserving wealth — and just as importantly, what doesn’t. I wanted to build a comprehensive financial planning practice around the things that actually matter.
Evergreen charges a flat monthly fee — not a percentage of your assets. The fee is $900 per month ($10,800 per year), with a $1,000,000 asset minimum. Fees are negotiable. That means my advice on investment management, retirement planning, tax strategy, and everything else doesn’t change based on how much you have with me. No conflicts, no fine print, no incentive to recommend anything other than what’s right for you.
Evergreen is based in Boston and serves clients across the country. I meet with clients over Zoom or in person, with meeting availability in Needham, Burlington, and Framingham, MA. Either way, you get the same level of attention — direct access to me, not a call center or a junior associate.

Beyond the Office
A Passion for Golf
I’m a lifelong golfer with a single-digit handicap, though the game keeps me humble. Like financial planning, success comes from patience, strategy, and continuous improvement.
Hands-On Approach
I own a few rental properties and
enjoy small weekend projects like
painting. Just like in finance,
small, consistent efforts lead to
long-term success.
Family First
My wife, Rachel, and I have 2 young kids, and our dog, Sam, who still thinks
he’s in charge. Family keeps me focused
on what truly matters—planning for the future while enjoying today.
Fee-Only, Flat-fee Financial Planning – How Evergreen is Different
Most financial advisors charge a percentage of your assets — meaning their fee grows as your wealth grows, whether or not their service changes. Evergreen Wealth Management takes a different approach. As a fee-only fiduciary RIA, we charge a flat monthly fee for comprehensive financial planning and investment management. Your cost is predictable, and our advice is always objective.
Our Approach
Flat Monthly Fee
You pay one clear monthly fee regardless of your account balance. No AUM percentage, no hidden charges, no surprises as your portfolio grows.
Fiduciary – Always
Evergreen is legally and ethically required to act in your best interest at all times. We don’t sell products, earn commissions, or accept referral fees from third parties.
One Advisor, Institutional Resources
You work directly with Nick, backed by the same custodial, technology, and research tools used by major wealth management firms.
How Most Advisors Charge
Percentage-Based Fees
The industry standard is 1% of assets under management. On a $500,000 portfolio, that’s $5,000/year — and it rises as your savings grow, even if the service stays the same.
Commissions and Revenue Sharing
Many advisors who call themselves ‘fee-based’ also earn commissions on insurance products, mutual funds, or other financial products they recommend.
Templated Planning
At larger firms, financial plans are often generated from software with minimal customization, and you may not always meet with the same advisor.
